On April 27th, 2023 I presented at our public meeting about the need for funding for mental health services for our inmates. Up to 80% of the inmates housed in Blair County Prison have either a serious or severe mental health issue. We need to be able to properly treat them while they are in our care. Having diversionary programs and community services available could help reduce the immense pressure on the prison and improve outcomes. Read more here:
